I
think the social action space would be a very powerful space to experiment
with this where it could gain good traction. As for the information,
curation, distribution pieces... I'm stewing on a post about 'remediating
the web for me' post that gets a bit more into that part... also pulling in
aspects of your personal api post. Finally... I also think all this is piece
of 'remediating civilization' which is also a post stewing...

Re: Remediating the web for action.

Interesting to read your thoughts here after a wave of related thoughts and bits of news today; Masnick's http://bit.ly/14GAfe on search and relevance, Alan Patrick's comparison http://bit.ly/wHmxz of Umair's Nichepaper Manifesto http://bit.ly/27Jaq and Chris Anderson's hobby media http://bit.ly/k8qsa , and a discussion with Josh Young (@jny2) on twitter, to quote "Code can enable and augment that but cannot replace it."

All related to the core problem of information, curation, distribution; but you're focusing on the result of all the social and business processing, the action.

It's not the threads that are important but the actions that the threads enable.

Maybe there is a community out there that needs this for a specific application: a cause, an event, a promotion.

Still thinking how it all ties together. Hoping you can make sense of it all.
